Famous guitarist Steve Vai performing in front of the Andertons brand
The big agencies do extraordinary work. No question. Some of the most exciting brand identities in the world come out of studios in London, Manchester, Leeds and beyond. And I've spent my career watching, learning from, and occasionally working alongside them.
But great agency work comes with great agency infrastructure. Amazing teams, costly overheads, processes, and fees that reflect all of the above. For the businesses those agencies serve, that's entirely right.
There's another kind of business, though. Owner-led. Committed. Often brilliant at what they do. And either priced out of the conversation, unsure where to start, or simply not sure that branding is something that applies to them.
That’s who Studio Fuzzpig is for.
Not as a compromise, but as the right fit. Senior experience, genuine craft, and less complexity than often comes with a larger operation.
I’m not trying to build the next big agency. I’m trying to do the best work of my career for businesses that deserve it.
Fox and cubs – a vigorous wildflower. Some call it 'Devil’s Paintbrush'. But I prefer the former!
I’m Darren Cornwall. Designer, creative director, and the only person at Studio Fuzzpig.
I spent over thirty years in London and Surrey agencies working on some brands you might recognise, and many you won’t. I won awards as both designer and creative director. And then I made a huge change. I moved to Somerset.
A Cornwall. Based in Somerset. You could say I was destined to head to the south west!
The landscape got under my skin immediately. The deep greens, the wildflower orange of ‘Fox and Cubs’ along the lanes, the luminescent quality of the sky on a clear day (those colours ended up directly in the Studio Fuzzpig colour palette). The view from the studio window is honestly inspiring.
Oh, and as you might have guessed, I’m no spring chicken (I’m a Fuzzpig). Which means many years of experience, hard-won instincts, and absolutely no interest in pretending to be something I’m not.

I try to work differently from a large agency. Necessarily, but also deliberately. What does that mean?
If something here feels like it might be relevant to your business, or if you’re just curious and not quite sure yet, the best next step is a conversation…
No brief needed. No commitment required. Just a chat about your business, where it is, and whether Studio Fuzzpig might be the right fit.
You don’t need to know what you need. That's my job.
